Religion – A Construct of Separation and Potential

Religion is a constructed pathway to enlightenment.

It was created as a safer, more structured alternative for those considered “simple,” fearful, or deeply conditioned by the material world. It personifies the divine Self as something other—a separate figure like Jesus, standing in for the godliness we refuse to see in ourselves.

Through this separation, religion teaches morality, cultural cohesion, and purpose—filtered through commandments, scripture, and stories. In this way, it is both useful and flawed.

The flaw lies in its reinforcement of separation. Of "good" and "evil," "saved" and "sinner." It slows true unification of the mind and spirit. It allows for spiritual growth, yes—but only in tightly controlled layers, maintained by hierarchy and systems of influence.

And yet… if used with intention—as a stepping stone for those burdened by trauma, fear, or attachment to the physical—it holds potential. If the goal is to outgrow the metaphor and reach true knowing, then even religion can be a bridge to awakening.

But that rarely happens.

Humans are tempted by power. They confuse the worship of "I" for the love of Self. They seek control, not understanding. Validation, not unity.

The truth is this: It all comes from within.

If you can treat another being differently than you treat yourself, then the point has not yet been understood.

They are you. You are them. We are us. All is all. And all is all that ever will be.

It is beautiful in its simplicity.

Reflect on this often. Not to judge religion—but to transcend it.
